Deerhound - Spey, the proprty of Thomas Morse
Information: This original antique print is from the renowned "The Book of The Dog", published by Cassell in the late 1800s. The color printing was of an exceptionally high standard and, most importantly, the illustrations are some of the finest portrayals of dogs.
It contained the first color illustrations of the Bedlington Terrier, Dandie Dinmont Terrier, Irish Terrier, Yorkshire Terrier, Fox Terrier, Pug, Italian Greyhound, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Irish Water Spaniel, Dachshund, Basset Hounds and Retriever.

Print method: The color prints are chromolithographs (i.e. different stone blocks were used to print each color).
Condition: Good condition. The image area is clean and bright. There are a few handling marks in the white margin of a few of the colored prints in this set. These can easily be covered in framing if required.
